Falcon Heavy is by far the powerful rocket to have been manufactured. Thanks to SpaceX, it will liftoff on Feb 6 2018 from the launch pad 39A, located at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral – the same one used by NASA’s Apollo moon missions making this one historical too. Although NASA is in-progress of building a much heavier rocket called SLS (Space Launch System) which is expected to be completed only by 2020, SpaceX’s FH will still stand out due to less cost and reusable capability. What makes this so special? As already mentioned its of the powerful operational rocket to have ever built with less cost. It has…

Warp drive – will it become a reality?
Sound barrier was broken a long time ago. Ever since that law was broken, sci-fi geeks have been waiting to see more of “fantasy come true”. One of which is the warp drive from star trek. How far are we from that? Or how close are we? Let me not drag the answer, scientists believe that it is quite impossible considering Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light – however, if we could compact and expand the fabric of space-time ahead of and behind us, technically we could travel faster than the speed of light. Technically. Anyway, like i mentioned earlier It’s just…

Answers ready to be served! – Astronomy Q&A for the month.
As mentioned in my last month’s post, I am dedicating a week to answer questions picked from Quora about Astronomy. So here is this month’s batch. What would happen if a bullet was shot in outer space? Answer: Space does not have oxygen but that doesn’t mean your gun won’t fire. Modern gun has ammunition that has its own oxidizer that triggers the explosion. So when you shoot a gun into space two things happen: Experience Newton’s third law of motion, you being on the other side and with higher mass, you will move backwards. The bullet keeps going into the space towards infinity as universe expands faster than a…

Elon Musk’s plan on sending people to Mars.
Elon Musk – the man who can bring a SciFi fantasy come true, atleast that’s how I would like to picture him (I know many would agree with me); the CEO and the co-founder of SpaceX. He has great visions about the future one of which is colonizing Mars by 2024 with two ships reaching by 2022 filled with cargo and he plans to do it effective and safe. He recently provided an update to his 2016 presentation regarding his long term technical challenges that need to be solved to support the creation of a permanent, self-sustaining human presence on Mars. In his recent speaking at the International Astronautical…
